Have you volunteered with Communities In Schools in the past year?

Communities In Schools recently started using a new volunteer application. We have transferred the applications from the 2009-2010 school year into a new online database and generated usernames and passwords for each volunteer.  If you would like to volunteer for us in the 2010-2011 school year you do not need to fill out a new application but you do need to retrieve your username and review the information we have for you on file at myVolunteerpage. Please email Alicia Rainwater at arainwater@cisaustin.org to receive this information and confirm your volunteer placement. You may also explore options to move to a new volunteer role or a different campus. Some volunteer roles will require additional training.

You will be responsible for contacting the Program Manager or Coordinator to begin volunteering again for the 2010-2011 school year. Often we have new Program Managers in the fall so we do not recommend waiting to be contacted if you want to start as soon as possible.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT REGARDING BACKGROUND CHECKS:

If you volunteered with us during the 2009-2010 school year we do not need to run a new background check for the 2010-2011 year. However if we have not performed a background check in the last year we need to submit a new check and you have to wait to be approved to start in your volunteer role again. We will send you the appropriate paperwork for this step and let you know when you are cleared to start up as a volunteer again.

If you have questions email us at volunteer@cisaustin.org or (512) 464-9767.
